In March, Peach willow green. The author was invited to visit the new 40,000-square-meter production base of SOKOYO Solar Lighting Co., Ltd. in Gaoyou High-tech Zone. Looking at the neat factory area and spacious and bright factory building, listening to Chairman Yin's introduction in the roar of the machine, people can't help but have many associations.
Three years of fighting the new crown has caused many small and medium-sized enterprises to shrink their business scale, and some even stopped production, but two factories in SOKOYO have risen up, one 17,000 square meters for lamp pole manufacturing; the other 13,000 square meters for solar street lamp manufacturing, as well as technology centers, exhibition centers and supporting facilities, which are admirable.
What is the purpose of building such a large factory in extraordinary times? The author asked curiously.
Chairman Yin: "After repeated research, the company's shareholders believe that the solar street lamp market is still in the early stage of development, and facing upgrading, the international market still has considerable demand, in order to meet the factory inspection standards of some large customers at home and abroad and the demand for production: such as improving the manufacturing environment, improving manufacturing quality, improving management standards, expanding production scale, especially increasing shipments per unit time. In order to improve the brand competitiveness, it is necessary to change the existing site insufficient, factory dispersion, management dispersion and other problems, so consider building a new production base.
The lamp pole workshop of the new base has been put into use, the lamp pole as a component of solar street light, many foreign customers have relatively high requirements for the quality of the lamp pole, and also have high requirements for the control of each link in the production process, so we also put forward higher requirements for our equipment, on-site management, etc.; In addition, at present, the demand for smart lamp poles and composite poles in the domestic market is increasing, and many large domestic customers have high requirements for the quality of smart lamp poles and combineds, and the traditional equipment and management mode can no longer meet the requirements of these customers. These factors push us to constantly improve ourselves, which is full of pressure, but also motivates us."
Entering the pole workshop, the first thing you see is a new milky white device in operation, and as the steel plate constantly changes the angle on the workbench, a hexagonal lamp pole component is formed, angular and precise.
"This is a digital bending and seam welding production line that we invested millions of yuan to purchase, which is a replacement product of the original equipment, which improves the accuracy and consistency of bending and improves manufacturing efficiency."
Next to the CNC bending line are neatly placed raw materials and rolled light pole parts, on the right is the old equipment bending line and different specifications of light poles, as well as the light poles that have been packaged and ready to be shipped, a container trailer is parked in the factory, and a worker is operating the crane to load the packaged light pole into the container. On the other side of the plant, more than a dozen workers took the grinder to polish the bottom of the light pole, and the grinder made a cheerful sound, echoing in the factory.
In addition, I noticed that the 13,000-square-meter solar energy production workshop, as well as exhibition halls, laboratories and other square meters of supporting facilities, are under intense renovation. Chairman Yin said that it was put into use in July.

It is understood that in more than ten years of solar street lamp manufacturing and sales work, SOKOYO has accumulated a lot of experience and formed its own set of practices in solar street lamp sales. According to the changes in the business format, decisively make strategic adjustments, do not bid for projects, or even give up project qualifications, adjust the ratio of foreign trade and domestic sales, and concentrate on the manufacture and export of street lamps of solar street lights. From solar panels, lamp poles to light source lamps, to batteries and controllers and other accessories, it has formed a production system and supporting supply chain suitable for its own characteristics to ensure timely and quality delivery.

In March this year in Beijing, I met an Egyptian engineer who had worked in SOKOYO, Jiangsu Province for six or seven years. When asked about his working situation at SOKOYO, he said with a smile: "Our company platform is very good, we value talent, quality, innovation, reputation, I like to work on such a platform."
The commissioning of the new plant makes people see a new new century, and also see the new development goals and pursuits of SOKOYO. It is believed that SOKOYO will create a new miracle in the field of solar street lights in the near future, and strive to realize the vision of "doing a good job in every lamp" and letting street lamps "illuminate every way home".
